Once upon a time, the Philistine army formed up with sword, spear, and shield to march on the nation of Israel. Big, strong, and aggressive, this army sought to wipe the Israelites off the mountains.

God could have handled it. He could have just flicked his finger and wiped the Philistines off the beach. Nothing left but an icky smear in the sand.
But he didn’t.
Instead, the warriors of Israel stepped up and stood obedient and ready to fight. They might have been distracted by family, farming, or delicious figs. But they weren’t. They showed up and fought for God.

Don’t feel like writing? Understood. Totally get it. Sometimes, me too.
But why are you, as a Christian author, writing? For fame? Fortune? The fantastic benefit package?
No, of course not. You’re writing for God. To honor and praise Him. To give Him the glory. Build His kingdom. Love Him. To do battle in our culture for Him.
We are Creative Warriors. We fight in the Army of God.
Stop putting it off. Sit your armored butt in the chair. Write. This is our battle against the rulers, authorities, and spiritual forces of evil. (Ephesians 6:12) You are a Creative Warrior. Fight!
